Brief description of study

The purpose of this project is to study the expectations of speech, created by information about the speaker, and its effect on speech perception.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of this project is to study the expectations of speech, created by information about the speaker, and its effect on speech perception.
This study takes place in Bloomington, IN.

Participants will be paid for their participation.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy,speech,linguistics,communication
  • Age: 18 years - 35 years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
Listeners have to be monolingual speakers
They all must have normal hearing and be between the ages of 18 - 35
The speakers have to be native speakers of English
Exclusion Criteria
If they are bilingual, outside of the age range or fail the hearing screening.
