Brief description of study

The purpose of the study is to see if buspirone is effective in treating irritability and aggression in people who have had a traumatic brain injury.

Detailed description of study

The purpose of the study is to see if buspirone is effective in treating irritability and aggression in people who have had a traumatic brain injury.
Participants will be paid for their participation.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Traumatic Brain Injury,TBI,Brain Injury,Neurology,Irritability,Aggression
  • Age: 18 years - 70 years
  • Gender: All

Inclusion Criteria
Closed head injury at least 6 months prior to enrollment
Irritability/aggression
Observer with whom subject interacts sufficiently to observe occurences of irritability
Exclusion Criteria
Ingestion of buspirone during the month prior to enrollment
History of schizophrenia or psychosis  
Uncontrolled seizure disorder
