Brief description of study

The purpose of this project is to explore the circumstances and life events that influence women down the path of drug use and criminal activity.

Detailed description of study

This study intends to investigate the descent into drugs and crime from the perspective of women who have previously been charged with crimes beyond possession of illegal substances. Specifically, this project aims to explore what women perceive as precursors to their criminal experience.
Participants will be compensated for their participation.

Eligibility of study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: healthy,criminal justice,crime,substance use
  • Age: 18 years - 100 years
  • Gender: Female

Inclusion Criteria
Participants must have been convicted of a criminal offense other than but not excluding drug related charges.
Exclusion Criteria
Participants currently under supervision or currently being monitored by corrections services will be excluded from the study.
