An ERP Examination of Facial Affect Recognition
Brief description of study
The purpose of this study is to examine the underlying neuronal correlates of facial recognition. We will specifically be examining how different faces correspond with brain activity and how features of personality impact the processing of faces and related brain activity.
Eligibility of study
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
- Conditions: schizophrenia

Age: 18 years - 59 years

Gender: All
Inclusion Criteria:
1) Between the ages of 18-59
2) Normal range or corrected to normal hearing and vision
3) Comfortable reading and writing in English
4) Free from major medical, physical, and psychological conditions (i.e. self-reported)
For the Schizotypy group only:
Personality traits such as eccentricities, unusual perceptual experiences, odd beliefs, unusual speech,lack of close relationships, suspiciousness/paranoia, isolatation
Exclusion Criteria:
1) History of Neurological and/or Neurodegenerative Disorders (i.e. self-reported)
2) History of head injury resulting in a loss of consciousness for 2 minutes or longer (i.e. self-reported)
3) History of traumatic brain injury (i.e. self-reported)
4) History of cardio vascular disease (i.e. self-reported)
