Brief description of study

Volunteers are needed to participate in a study investigating links of brain structure & function in the Social Neuroscience Lab run by Dr. Aina Puce in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Indiana University.

Detailed description of study

The experiment will be conducted in 2 sessions lasting about 2 hours each, conducted in our laboratory and in the Imaging Research Facility in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences.  The volunteer is required to rest quietly with eyes open for 4 periods of 10 minutes each, while either the electrical activity of the brain [Session 1] or brain bloo flow [Session 2] is measured.  Some additional structural MRI scans of the brain will also be taken.

Participants will be compensated for their participation.

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Healthy
  • Age: 25 years - 70 years
  • Gender: All

Exclusion Criteria

Previous history of neurological and/or psychiatric illness.
Women who believe that there is a chance that they might be pregnant.
